FAQs

What is No-Pull™ technology, and how is it different from a regular gas engine?

No-Pull™ tools use a battery to start the gas engine with the push of a button, instead of requiring you to pull a recoil cord to get the engine running. You still get the power and runtime of a gas engine, just without the physical effort or hassle of pull-starting it.

How many starts can I get from a single charge?

It varies by tool. The 26cc Straight Shaft Trimmer (NPTGSP2617A) offers up to 250 starts per charge, while the 25cc Curved Shaft Trimmer (NPTGCP2517B) and the 31cc Backpack Blower (NPTBL31AB) both offer up to 150 starts per charge.

Do I still need to add gas and oil to No-Pull™ tools?

Yes, these are still gas-powered 2-cycle engines, so you'll need to fuel them with the appropriate gas and oil mixture as you would with any traditional gas tool. The No-Pull battery only handles starting the engine, not running it.

What's the difference between the two No-Pull™ trimmers?

The 26cc Straight Shaft Trimmer (NPTGSP2617A) offers more power and up to 250 starts per charge, with a split shaft that converts to other yard tools. The 25cc Curved Shaft Trimmer (NPTGCP2517B) has a curved design for more comfortable handling in tight areas, with up to 150 starts per charge.

Is the battery used to start these interchangeable with other No-Pull™ tools?

Yes, the No-Pull™ 7.2V battery and charger are interchangeable across all LawnMaster No-Pull™ products, so one battery can start multiple tools in the lineup.
