What size wet/dry vac is right for home use?

For most home and garage cleanup, a 4 to 6-gallon tank is plenty. For bigger jobs like clearing out a basement or workshop, an 8 to 12-gallon model cuts down on how often you need to stop and empty it.

What's the benefit of a wall-mount wet/dry vacuum?

Is it necessary to use a dust collection bag?

No, it is not necessary to use a dust collection bag as dirt and debris are contained in a durable, sealed polypropylene tank. However using a dust bag adds an extra layer of filtration and makes clean up easy.
