FAQs

What is a scarifier?

A scarifier aerates soil, and removes thatch - compacted natural materials that build up on your lawn over time. It creates a longer-lasting and healthier lawn. If you only have a minor amount of thatch, we recommend using the dethacher over the scarifier.

Can I use this tool on wet grass?

It is best to use the scarifier and dethatcher on dry grass. Using it on wet grass can cause the unit to clog and reduce performance. Do not use this tool in damp or wet conditions or operate in the rain.

What type of extension cord should I use for this scarifier?

Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current the product will draw. An undersized cord will cause overheating. We recommend reviewing the extension cord guide of the operator's manual.

When should I use the collection bag?

We recommend using the collection bag when dethatching, but not when scarifying.

Why did my unit turn off during use?

This product is equipped with overload protection function, and it will be activated in the following
circumstances:

  1. If the cutting device is wrapped by a build-up of debris
  2. If the material scarified is larger than the motor capacity.
  3. Where there is too much resistance against the cutting device.

When the circuit breaker has been activated, switch off the product and disconnect it from the power supply. Let the product cool down and clear the problem before restarting.
