What's the difference between Vacmaster Professional and the standard Vacmaster line?

Vacmaster Professional is built for heavy-duty, commercial and jobsite use, with more durable tanks, and accessory packages designed for contractors and serious DIYers. It includes the Beast Series™ and HEPA-certified models for more demanding cleanup jobs.

What size tank should I get with a wet/dry vac?

Smaller tanks, 2.5 to 5 gallons, are easier to carry and store but need emptying more often. Larger 8 to 16-gallon tanks handle bigger jobs with less frequent emptying, but are heavier and bulkier to move.

How do I clean or maintain the filter on a wet/dry vac?

It depends on the filter type. Cartridge filters made with standard, fine dust, or HEPA material can often be tapped out or lightly brushed to remove dust. Filters made with PET material are washable and need to be fully dry before reuse. When a filter becomes too dirty or the vacuum is losing suction, replacing the filter with a new one is recommended. Check the manual for your specific model before cleaning any filter.
