Job Title:             Associate Product Manager- Housewares

The Position:

The Associate Product Manager- Housewares will support the development and ongoing management of new and existing products in the floor care category - supporting a successful, major licensed brand. They will work as a cross-functional liaison between Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service to support product delivery and meet our customers’ expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate creation of product collateral (manuals, packaging, product labels, POP, sell sheets) as needed, including sourced work such as foreign translations
• Deliver product line growth through support of ongoing new product development
• Support the Product Management team by managing milestones for product development
• Set up and maintain products in product database and systems
• Perform audits of product collateral to ensure accuracy and work with manufacturing to implement updates to continually improve product portfolio
• Manage digital files and technical documentation relating to product development including spec sheets, UL/ETL standards, product certification documentation, and logistics data
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Marketing to maintain updated product packaging database
• Maintain updated competitive landscapes, sell sheets, and sales presentations
• Arrange and inspect product samples from manufacturing to support sales and marketing efforts
• Assist with photo shoots for product collateral and digital marketing content
• Conduct ongoing competitive and application benchmarking relevant to product line
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to influence go-to-market strategy
• Support Customer Service with technical or frequently asked questions

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required; degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience in a related field
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift/move boxes or products weighing up to 30lbs. for various needs

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The job is usually performed indoors in a traditional office setting.  Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.  Ability to communicate orally with clients, candidates, management, and coworkers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial.  Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.  Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.  Requires good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copier/scanners).  Some heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 30 lbs. of force (e.g., product samples, tablet, laptop, computers, office supplies) may occasionally be required.
